Dwight “Scotty” Scott purchased the Wrens Roost on Hamlin Lake in 1964 and then the TownHouse (now Michael’s) in downtown Ludington in the mid 1970’s. The Wrens Roost burned to the ground in 1977. Scotty then bought the Swedish coffee pot and renamed it “Scotty’s” later that year. The restaurant is now owned by Scotty’s son Dick and grandson Chip.
